Susanne D. Miller

AGE: 84 • Matawan

Susanne D. Miller, 84, of Matawan passed away Friday February 15, 2013 at the Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel. A life-long resident of Matawan, she recently resided with her niece Jane Ryder in Morganville. She was the owner and operator of the Friendly Shop in Matawan. Since 1986, Susanne served on the Board of Rose Hill Cemetery, Matawan. She was instrumental in starting the restoration of the cemetery in memory of her mother.

She was predeceased by her husband, J. Donald Miller, Sr.; her parents Genevieve Van Brackle Donnell and Warren N. Donnell; her son James Jeffrey Miller, sisters, Kathleen Rose Donnell and Elva Joan Ryder, and two grandsons, John Donald Miller III and James Jeffrey Miller, Jr.. Susanne is survived by her daughter, Ellen Hart and her husband Terry; a daughter-in-law, Patricia Miller; five grandchildren, Susanne, Allen, Kaitlin, Robert and Jennifer; seven great grandchildren; her sister, Barbara D. Bradley and three nieces and three nephews.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from 4 - 8pm at the Bedle Funeral Home, 212 Main Street, Matawan. A funeral service will be held Wednesday February 20, 2013 at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Matawan.
