Maureen Lunn Gerrity, 75, of Edison died on Thursday, February 27, 2014 surrounded by her family at her daughter Ann Marie's home in Bridgewater.
Born on February 16, 1939 in New York City, she has resided in Edison 48 years.
Maureen was employed by General Motors Cadillac prior to her marriage and also had been a part time sales associate at JC Penny in Woodbridge Center.
She was predeceased by her husband Richard P. Gerrity in 2011; as well as her parents Stanley and Helena Lunn.
She is survived by a son Patrick Gerrity and his wife Bonnie of Fanwood; two daughters Ann Marie Grace and her husband Mark of Bridgewater, and Mary Ellen Gerrity of Metuchen; three sisters Ann Heelan of Edison, Eleanor Lunn of New York City and Patricia Woods of New Hyde Park, NY; and seven grandchildren Brian, Richard, Kevin, Jack, Brendan, Luke and Angela.
Services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014 at 9:45 AM from the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen (costello-runyon.com) followed by a 10:15 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral, Metuchen, entombment is at Resurrection Burial Park in Piscataway. Visitation is Sunday 1-5 PM.
Memorials may be made to the Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey (cpnj.org), 220 S Orange Ave, Livingston, NJ 07039.

Heaven has a new Angel. SO sorry to hear about the passing of your Mother. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. I apologize for not being able to make it to the service for your Mother. I will be on the west coast until the end of the week.
