My brother and sister and I grew up just across the highway, Rt. 202 from Uncle Harry and Aunt Jeanne. We were always at their house or they at ours. I remember when Uncle Harry and some of his friends put in the pool in his yard. That was an exciting time, of couse it was more exciting once the pool was usable!!! Uncle Harry was always willing to help with any problems at our house that we encountered, a man who could fix almost anything, he was such a blessing and always a delight to be around. I was always intrigued by his racing bike which hung from the rafters in his garage. I remember that each summer at a cookout or swimming get together at Uncle Harry and Aunt Jeanne's he would do a kip on the horizontal bar of the swing set. I was amazed because I couldn't do it but I practiced, encouraged by what Uncle Harry could do and one day I was able to do a kip while Uncle Harry watched. He was so encouraging. Uncle Harry will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful man and always engaging. The summer after I completed my time in the Marines and was working at Johns-Manville I would stop at his house each morning, we would both go for a brief dip in the pool, have a cup of coffee and then we would both leave for work. Fond memories for sure. Our condolences to Aunt Jeanne and my cousins Sondra and Scott and their families during this time of loss. Semper Paratus Uncle Harry!!!!!
