Joe & Agrusti Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss, I know it breaks your heart and it will hurt for a very long time and feel empty. Time is the only way the pain will lessen. My advise to all of you is to hold in your heart all the memories that are so precious to you and they will live in your heart forever and one day you will be able to smile again and laugh about them; but I cannot promise that tears will not be shed as you think of all the wonderful times. Prayers to the entire family.

Dearest Joe, Laura and Ca,

We hold you in our hearts and pray that you feel the love from all of those who care so deeply for your family and for your amazing, funny, adorable, beautiful, dedicated Mum. She has been the topic of our conversations this week and we'd like to share some of our thoughts and memories with you:

"Aunt" Joanne had a way of making people feel like family. We cherish memories of countless meals at the Agrusti family home, cream cheese brownies with mini chocolate chips, having a home to walk to after piano lessons until mom was able to pick us up, laughter, hugs, family visits to Army football games, Chadwick beach, Sea Isle City and Schroon Lake, Thanksgivings, and the endless after-dinner "plays" put on by the kids. The laundry was running, the pantry was full, and she always had time for us. She had a sparkle in her eye...and a fantastic laugh. She'd start a whole new round of giggles, the pee-in-your pants kind. Joanne's love, kindness, and generosity lives on through Laura and Ca.

We send hugs and prayers over the pain and grief for this special woman who opened her heart first to the three of you and then to family, friends, students and coworkers.  More
memories flood in:  summers at S.H.E.A., Friday nights at Thirsty's, Catari's, Jack O' Conners, tea-times, Joe's Grove, raising our girls together, parent peer groups; sending our first two, Laura and Cara, off to college.  There is deep sadness that the eight of us won't share a reunion to talk over Agrusti/Braun memories.  They are a treasured part of our lives, though miles separate us and years have passed.

When Bob's mum was failing, Joanne sent Bob a book entitled, Love You Forever, by Robert Munsch.  We read it these days to our grandchildren. The repeated lines through all the stages of relationship between son and mother are, "I'll love you forever.  I'll like you for always.  As long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."  Joanne's kind of love doesn't end.  It lives on forever in the lives of everyone whose heart she has touched.

With deepest love and sympathy, and in celebration of your wife and mother and our dear friend, The Brauns

Dear Joey, Laura and Carolyn,
My heart is breaking for all of you right now. How can I ever let you know how much my sweet “Joanney” meant to me? On my first day at Bradley Gardens, back in the day, she welcomed me with open arms and we became immediate friends. She loved her family, friends and her students with all of her heart. No problem was ever too small or too large for her to listen to, fix and make you feel better. I still have the most beautiful blown glass Christmas ornament of Mary holding the baby Jesus. Every gift, and there were many, were handpicked special for everyone. The biggest gift she ever gave me was to walk along side of my daughter Nicole last year in kindergarten. I remember going in at Halloween to read a story to both classrooms and she taped me on her phone and sent it to Joey. She always made me feel so special and I will never ever forget her. May her memory and loving ways carry you all through this most difficult time. We have an extra Angel in heaven on our side now. May God comfort and bless you all.
Love,
Denise

A few great memories:
* Your house always smelled like brownies or something sweet……I thought it smelled more like blueberry muffins all the time.
• Your mom always had some sort of project in the works for her class- and usually it was spread out on the kitchen table, living room area, or dining room table, or all three.
• Lots and lots of bags of potato chips rolled up with a rubber band in the pantry. Did she ever finish a bag? Or just open new one?
• A stocked pantry. And…..trips to Chadwick Beach meant a seriously stocked counter with lots of snacking options. Trips to Chadwick were the best…card games at the kitchen table…sitting on the little porch
• Later at night when we would sleep over your mom could always been found sitting up on the left side of the bed, with the TV on, something to read or do in her lap, and a snack.
• There is a memory of your mom always wearing slippers.
* Katie mentioned one this morning....it always smelled like dryer sheets outside your house...she was always doing laundry! What a good Mom!

Lots of love to all of you.

Mr. Agrusti and Family,
I first met Joanne when I was a little girl, going to work with my mom to Bradley Gardens. Last year I was beyond fortunate to teach Kindergarten side by side with such a great teacher, but more importantly a classy, wonderful, positive, strong woman. Whenever I was having a bad day, I knew I could walk right through the closet and she would make me feel so much better. I was so lucky to work next to someone I admired so much since I was young. God truly is a lucky man to truly have this ANGEL with Him. Your family is in my prayers. I love her and will miss her!
