Marlene Mapp Obituary
Plainfield - Marlene Mapp "Dobry" transitioned this life 4/9/2018 in Plainfield, NJ. Born in St. John Barbados she has been a resident of Plainfield 26 yrs., formerly of Queens, NY. Mrs. Mapp was a member of the St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Plainfield where she served on the Choir. She was an analyst for Ziff Davis Printing in Manhattan and also worked for Cablevision for many years. She was also a member of the Barbados Women's Cricket Team. Predeceased by her brother Oscar, sisters Carmelita, and Monica. She is survived by her husband of 40 yrs. Olvis, daughter Keisha L. Mapp, granddaughter Kimara N. Mapp. brothers Shirland and Renwick Arthur, Anthony Headley, sister Angela Waterman and a host of loving relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday 10:30AM at the St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Plainfield. Visitation will be held Monday 9-10:30 AM at the church Arrangements by Judkins www.judkinscolonialhome.com

My Aunty Marlene has always been present in my life and I will miss her dearly. Her kindness, love, generosity and mostly her strength is what will inspire me through my life. I love her with all my heart and pray the Lord continue to watch over my cousin Keisha, Kimora and Uncle Olvis. Aunty Marlene will forever be in my heart. She was an amazing woman.
