William Reid Obituary
Plainfield - William Reid of Plainfield made his transition April 1, 2018.
William was former First Ward City Councilman, Plainfield, NJ, Former Commissioner of P.M.U.A, retired Executive Director - Orange NJ Housing Authority. Born in Anderson County, South Carollina.
Beloved son of the late Lue Sarah Adams and Frank Reid. Devoted Father of Rodney (Salitta) Reid, David Reid, Brenda Reid and Cheryl Frazier and the late Gregory Reid. Step Father of Gary Donaldson. Cherished Grandfather of 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of cousins and friends. The celebration of his life will be held Saturday, April 7TH at 10AM at Covenant United Methodist Church 631 East Front St., Plainfield, NJ. Interment to Follow at Hillside Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ. Visitation Will be held Friday at the Church 4PM THRU 8PM. Arrangements by Whigham Funeral Home.

Many years ago, Bill became the property manager for a new housing development called Amity Village , Newark. He was always professional and friendly to residents and staff alike. We could always count on Bill to give his best.
