I worked with Frank both on the Lehigh Valley RR and at NJ TRANSIT. Though he had a gruff exterior, he was always willing to help work out mutual problems. He also made the time to tell great stories. Frank was a career railroader, and apparently also dedicated himself to North Plainfield!
May he rest in peace.

I was fortunate to have the privilege of being able to call Frank McArdle my friend and fellow employee at New Jersey Transit. He was a good man who will be missed by those who knew him best.
My deepest sympathy to his family, who he spoke of fondly and his loyal, loving partner Janice.
