DOROTHY M. PASTORELLI
SPRING LAKE
Dorothy M. "Donnadella" Pastorelli of Spring Lake passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2008, at her home. "Dottie" was born in Canonsburg, Pa., on July 9, 1918. She was one of 10 children and the daughter of the late John Pagano and Marietta DiCicco. She and her husband lived in Edison, prior to moving the Jersey Shore in May of 2000.
After a brief career, Dorothy met and married the love of her life and husband of 66 years, Tally Pastorelli, and devoted her life to being a wife and mother. Her most treasured moments were those spent surrounded by her family and the music she loved. She was a talented clothing designer and painter, and the morning of her passing, her daughter decorated the Christmas tree with ornaments she had hand-made. Dorothy deeply loved her family and made a loving home for them and her large group of friends.
Dorothy Pastorelli is survived by her devoted daughter, Gwen Pastorelli, who remained a constant companion to her since her husband's passing, and granddaughters, Tara Marie DiGiovanni, Donna Marie DiGiovanni, Gianna Li Pastorelli, and Maria Pastorelli; brother, John Pagano of Houston, Pa., and extended family in Italy. She was predeceased by her husband, Tally Pastorelli, and son, the late actor, Robert Pastorelli.
