Edward Albert Donnelly

Brick - Edward Albert Donnelly, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Ocean Medical Center. Born and raised in the Bronx, N.Y. Edward resided in Somerset for many years before settling to Brick, N.J. 27 years ago. Mr. Donnelly proudly served his country in the United States Army and the United States Marine Corp. Prior to his retirement, Edward worked for The City of New York 's Department of Environmental Protection Agency as an Engineer for 42 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, Albert and Gertrude Donnelly, his brother, Robert Donnelly, and his sister, June Campbell. Surviving is his beloved wife of 69 years, Frances Donnelly; his daughters, Pat Gery and her husband, John, and Kathleen Rossi and her husband, Sam; grandchildren, Jonathan Gery, Susan Gery, Connor Gery, Daniel Rossi, and Matthew Rossi; two great grandchildren, Abigail and Benjamin Gery.

Public visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 4-8 PM at O'Brien Funeral Home, Brick. Due to NJ Mandates, face coverings must be worn indoors. Burial services will be private at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. To send condolences please visit, www.obrienfuneralhome.com.

Dear Donnelly, Gery, and Rossi families, I am so very sorry for your loss. Mr. Donnelly was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, etc. to his family. He will be missed by so many. Thank you for your service to our country and rest in peace.
