James A. "Pop" Parello

- - James A. Parello AKA Pop (Jan 24,1917 - July 3, 2018). Pre-deceased by his wife Louise Rose Ianniello. Survived by his children Kenneth J Parello Fremont CA, and James A Parello Jr, Hamilton NJ. Pop had 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 3 Great Great grandchildren.

Pop started his career as a machinist in 1937, and then worked in City Of Plainfield in the sign division until retirement in 1979. He served in the Conservation Corp from 1935-1936. He was a member of the Italian American Fox Club, He loved competing in amateur boxing, playing golf, playing cards, traveling and cooking Italian food. Pop coached girls' softball team in Warren N.J. that played in the state championship in 1952, he then went on to coach both of his son's little league teams from 1953-1959. After Pop retired he purchased a motorhome and traveled around the United States. He lived a long and healthy life, by eating sausage and peppers and drinking wine. Most of all, Pop was loved by many, and he'll be missed by all.
