John J. Autocunas, Jr.

AGE: 95 • Manville

John J. Autocunas, Jr., 95, entered into eternal life on Monday, Aug. 1, 2011 at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. Born in Elizabeth, NJ, son of the late John Joseph and Veronica (Stepanoitis) Autocunas, Sr., he had resided in Jamesburg and Woodbridge prior to settling to Manville in 1945. John was honorably discharged from the United States Army having faithfully served his country as a technician fourth grade during World War II. He retired after fifteen years of employment at Smith, Kline Beecham in Clifton where he was a design draftsman. John was a communicant and usher at Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Manville, a member of Thomas J. Kavanaugh Post #2290 Veterans of Foreign Wars in Manville, American Legion Post #304 in Manville and a former 5th degree Knights of Columbus in Somerville.

Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his brothers, Paul and Anthony Autocunas. John is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Elizabeth (Babich) Autocunas; two loving children, Marie and husband John R. Ulrich of Manville and John G. Autocunas of Manville and dear brother, Stanley Autocunas of Warren. He will be deeply missed by two cherished grandchildren, Marie and husband Rick Gallo and Elizabeth Ulrich and three great-grandsons, Nathan, Raphael and Ezra Gallo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home, 205 South Main Street, Manville, N.J. 08835 on Friday, August 5 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and on Saturday, August 6 from 8:00-9:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 6 at 9:00 a.m. at Fucillo & Warren Funeral Home with Fr.
