- - Kathleen Carol Elizabeth McCormack "PurplePackie", died suddenly but peacefully May 12, 2018 at age 69. Preceded in death by her daughter Debra Sue Howard Brown in February 2018, 1st grandchild Maxine Anne Runiak in June 1999, her parents: Theresa Sonntag McCormack and Edward J McCormack in 2009.

She is survived by her daughters Colleen Howard Williams of Goochland VA and Christina Howard Greenberg of Hamilton NJ, 4 grandchildren Nathaniel Edward Greenberg, Amanda Marie Williams, Edward Patrick Williams and Cassandra Lee Greenberg, sons in-law Bill Williams and Eric Greenberg, her sisters Theresa Farsaris of Piscataway and Maryellen Douches of Scotch Plains and their husbands Nicandros Farsaris and Mark Douches, nephews Andrew Farsaris and Steven Douches, and many NJ, NY and MA cousins.

Born and raised in Edison NJ. After marrying her former husband Patrick J Howard, she raised her family in Somerset County. She was a very loving mother and friend to the end. She was a tireless and active volunteer as a mom of 3 girls with girl scouts, Church and school as a homemaker, worked at Fabric Land for 25 years, then Pathmark until she retired and moved to Trenton where she died.

She loved sewing, needle crafts, Elvis Presley, Dallas Cowboys, country music, westerns, Law and Order, and PURPLE. But most of all, she loved family especially all 5 of her grandkids.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 9-11 Wednesday, May 16 at Hartmann Memorial Home, Mercerville NJ service at 11am. Private interment at Bound Brook Cemetery at later date.

Please consider wearing Purple or Dallas Cowboy regalia. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to consider a donation be made to Alzheimer's research or in Kathy's name.
