Margaret Bergmann Obituary
Margaret Bergmann

Tinton Falls - Margaret Merle Bergmann, loving wife of Henry (Hank) Bergmann, loving mother of John, Carrie (married to John Jordan) and Sherry, loving grandmother of Jaqueline DeFelice (married to Will DeFelice), and loving great-grandmother of William and Oliver DeFelice, passed away June 10, 2018 after a 6-week hospitalization at Riverview Medical Center and New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. Margaret and Hank met while Hank was stationed at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, Mississippi and were happily married for more than 66 years. Margaret was a former member of the New Shrewsbury Women's Auxiliary First Aid Squad and until recently the Tinton Falls Auxiliary. Margaret was a member of the Rumson Senior Citizens Group and volunteered for over 25 years at Riverview Hospital; she belonged to St. Dorothea's Roman Catholic Church and frequently attended retreats at San Alfonso Retreat House in Long Branch. Margaret enjoyed her weekly poker game, trips to Atlantic City, and numerous cruise vacations where she and Hank danced many a night away to swing band rhythms (and received many compliments from others). Margaret was an avid crossword puzzle cruciverbalist, Jeopardy viewer, and football fan. Margaret is now in the loving arms of our Lord and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Family and friends may visit Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Braun Funeral Home, 106 Broad Street, Eatontown, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, 10am at the Church of St. Dorothea in Eatontown, followed by burial at Glenwood Cemetery in West Long Branch. Those who wish to make a donation to AHS/Popcorn Park Zoo & Animal Shelter in Margaret's honor may do so through her personal donation page at https://www.inmemoryof-memorial.org/margaret-m-bergmann. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.braunfuneralhome.com.
