AGE: 98 • Whiting

Mary Rubino, 98, of Whiting, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at Manchester Manor. Born in Jersey City and lived there for many years before moving to Whiting 30 years ago. Mary worked in her younger years at Campanella Macaroni Factory & Idalyte Lamp Shades. Later, she helped in the family business, Rubinos Tavern in Jersey City. In her later years, she served as a caretaker for her grandmother, her mother & ill brother. Mary served as vice president of the Womens Veterans Auxiliary, Jersey City and was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, Whiting.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, Paul & Justine; her sister, Frances DiPaula; and her brothers, William, James, Patrick & Anthony (Skippy). She is survived by her sisters, Angelina Smith, and Mrs. Jean Gatti and her husband Ray, Whiting; her brother, John & his wife Ida, Middletown & Paul & Cecilia, Whiting, as well as many loved nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. & 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 at The Family Owned Carmona-Bolen Home for Funerals, 66 Lacey Road, Whiting. Funeral mass will be at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton R.C. Church, Whiting. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery, Jersey City. Condolences can be sent to
