Michael J. Mudrak, Jr.

Carteret - Michael J. Mudrak, Jr., 75, a lifelong resident of Carteret died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was employed as a diesel mechanic with Amquip in Carteret before retiring. Michael was a U.S. Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish (Sacred Heart of Jesus Church) in Carteret.

He was predeceased by his parents, Michael J. Mudrak, Sr. and Catherine (Sulek) Mudrak and his sister, Catherine Mudrak.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Dolores (Fennessey Mudrak; 3 sons, Michael Augustine, James Lawrence (Susan), and Paul (Pretty); 2 step-daughters, Danielle and Tracy; 3 brothers, Andrew (Denise), Joseph (Debbie), and John (Maryann); and 1 sister, Helen. Also survived by 11 grandchildren, Michael Arthur, Michael Augustine, Vicel, Elvi, Paul Jack, Jessica, Jenna, Lauren, Gabrielle, Eric and Luke; 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday; we will meet 8:30 AM at the Rumpf Funeral Home, 21 Locust Street, Carteret, NJ, and begin leaving at 9:00 AM for a 9:30 AM Mass at Divine Mercy Parish, 140 Emerson St., Carteret. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery, Woodbridge. Visitation will be Tuesday 4 to 8 PM.
