Wall - Michael Montemurno, 87, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Michael was born and raised in Jersey City. He lived in Linden and Florida before moving back to Wall 4 years ago. Michael proudly served in The United States Army from 1950-1952 during the Korean War. Michael lived life to the fullest and enjoyed countless trips to Atlantic City. Michael was extremely proud of his family and cherished every moment with them. Michael was predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Rose Marie in 2006; parents, Peter and Maria; son, Mark in 2006; brothers, Nicholas, Jimmy, Carlo, Angelo Spinelli, and Pasquale "Patsy"; sisters, Margaret Peterson, Mary Costa, Angela Curcio, Adele Gallipolli and Anna Spinelli. Surviving are his loving children, Michael and his wife, Camille Montemurno of Del Ray Beach, FL., Michele Pianezza and her husband, Dave of Wall, Peter and his wife, Patti Montemurno of Franklin Township, Paul and his wife Michele Montemurno of Carney Point, Minna Nobel and her husband Brian of Port Saint Lucie, FL.; grandchildren, Kelly, Sean, Scott and his wife, Amanda, Anthony and his wife Callie, Lisa and her fiancé, Christopher, Nicole, Christopher and his wife, Hannah, Matthew and his wife Glendy, Sarah and her husband, Josh, Joyce, Michael, Brian, Kyle, Nicholas, Anthony; great-grandchildren, Michael, Danny, Justin, John, Ethan, Gabriella, Guiliana, Nicholas, Elijah, Zoe, Jaxon, McKenzie Rose, Carter, Ethan Tyler, Sophia, Kaiden, and Parker; brother, Amedio Montemurno; daughter in law, Lynn as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In accordance with the family's wishes a private cremation took place. O'Brien Funeral Home, Wall was in charge of arrangements. A Memorial Mass will be offered on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 10:30am at St. Catharine's Church, 215 Essex Ave., Spring Lake with a repast to follow.
