Peter S. Kiczula, 86, of Woodbridge, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018 at JFK Medical Center, Edison.

Born on July 4, 1932 and raised in Firlejow, Poland, Peter came to the United States in 1950. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict where he served in Army Intelligence. After his service, he moved to Perth Amboy where he lived until 2000, when he settled in Woodbridge. In the 1950's Peter was a founding member of the ZPA. Later, he was a member of the ZPA Credit Union of Perth Amboy, where served on the Board of the Directors and as President and was named Man of the Year. He remained active with ZPA until this year. He was a Third Degree member of the Perth Amboy Knights of Columbus, Council 299, an usher for St. Stephen's Church in Perth Amboy and a member of the Holy Name Society. Peter loved playing soccer in his younger days and still enjoyed watching the sport. Peter was a man who would help anyone at any time. He retired from Elizabethtown Gas Company of Iselin as a Construction Supervisor in 1994 after 37 years of service.

Predeceased by siblings, Ann Praszek and John Kiczula, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Irene (Marek) Kiczula; his children, Maryann Kiczula of Woodbridge, Peter S. Kiczula, Jr. and his wife Karen, of South River and Sabina Dooley and her husband Scott, of Danville, VA; his brother, Michael Kiczula; his grandchildren, Shaun Yanchuk, Conner and Kate Dooley, and; his great grandson, Cash Yanchuk.

Funeral services will begin at 9:00 AM Friday morning from Zylka Funeral Home, 513 State Street, Perth Amboy, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM from St. Stephen's RC Church, Perth Amboy. Interment will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Keasbey. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
