Morgan - Tadeusz Szot, 88, of Morgan entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 3,2018.

Ted was born in Poland the son of the late Wladyslaw and Albina, when he was eight years old he left Poland during WWII to Russia. From there he was moved to Mexico City where he attended grammar school and high school. He came to the US when he was 17 to seek a better future for himself. When he came to the US he was only here for a short time because he was then drafted into the military at 18 during the Korean War. He served his new country proudly in the infantry division overseas. Upon his return he went to work as a mechanic while courting his future wife with letters back and forth to Poland. At 27, he returned to Poland to marry his wife of 60 years Teresa. They began a family and with that came back to the US where they made Perth Amboy their home, they owned and operated Ted's Service Center on Penn Street. His legacy of being a genuine honest man and hard worker will never be forgotten. Known to most in the community as Polako.

Tadeusz is survived by his devoted wife Teresa, loving children Arkie, his wife Danuta and Chris, his wife Kat, Cherished grandson Robert and granddaughter Natalie, dear brothers John Sidorko, his wife Christine, Joe, his wife Dorothy and Jean Stasiukiewicz. Also are many nieces and nephews whom cared for Ted.

He is predeceased by His parents and son Rich and brother-in-law Michael Stasiukiewicz.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, August 10, 2018 from the Zylka Funeral Home, 513-515 State Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861 at 8:45 AM followed by a 9 AM funeral mass at St. Stephens Church, Perth Amboy. Friends are invited to pay their respects to family on, today Thursday, from 4 to 7 PM and from 8 AM on Friday morning. Ted will be laid to rest at William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
