Paul Adlon Schultz, 78, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2010 at J.F.K. Medical Center in Edison. Paul was born in Newark and grew up in Bloomfield, NJ. He was a resident of Newburgh, NY and Parsippany, NJ before settling in Martinsville with his family in 1964. Paul always enjoyed his time on the New Jersey shore with family and friends. Paul served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 at Fort Hood, TX, where he was a medical laboratory clinician. Mr. Schultz worked as the Manager of Safety, Health, and Environmental Affairs for Union Carbide Corporation in Bound Brook for 30 years, retiring in 1994. Since that time, Paul operated his company, Site Management Consultant, Inc. in Martinsville. He was a past Executive Director of Hazards Management Advisory Council of Union/Middlesex counties and was a very active lobbyist in Trenton on environmental policies. Paul was a volunteer counselor for Cancer Hope Network. He enjoyed traveling overseas with Elderhostel for which he was a tour group sponsor and guide for bicycle trips. Paul was an avid boater, golfer, fisherman, and sportsman.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 56 years, Elizabeth Monks Schultz; his son, Mark Schultz and his wife, Heather; his daughter, Donna Schultz; and his cherished grandson, Ryan Schultz. He was preceded in death by parents Reinhold and Evelyn Schultz, and his sister, Lyn Fackler.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 1:00 PM followed by Services at 2:00 PM at Branchburg Funeral Home, 910 US Highway 202 South, Branchburg, NJ 08876 (908) 526-7638. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, memorial contributions may be made in Paul's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501
