Thomas A. Breisch, 90, passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2010, at Arnold Walter Nursing Home, Hazlet. He was born in Bethlehem, Pa. and resided in Keyport since 1953. Thomas proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, 505th 82 Airborne Division. He entered the Parachute Jump School Combat Infantry in March 1942 and saw action in Sicily, Naples, Foggia, Normandy, Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He received many honors including, a Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Distinguished Unit Badge, European, Africa, Middle Eastern Service Medal with six Bronze Stars and a Bronze Arrowhead. "He was employed by Bendix, Eatontown, and RCA, Somerville, before retiring in the 1970's.
He is predeceased by wife, Helen J. Wojtowicz; his parents, Adam G. Breisch and Anna Leibinspeiger Breisch; and his brother, Charles Breisch. Surviving is his daughter, Johanna Caddock and her husband Robert of Little Silver.
