AGE: 53 • Neptune

Marianne Bernhardt, 53, passed away suddenly on Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, with her family by her side in Neptune, NJ. She was born in Dover, NJ to Phyllis and Charles Calabrese. The family made their home in Mine Hill, NJ originally moving there from the Wyoming Valley area of Pennsylvania in the 50's. Marianne graduated from Stockton State College in 1980 with a degree in Fine Arts. Her professional career included positions in advertising as an Art Director, and as an Administrative Assistant for John-Winston Engineers & Consultants for the past 20 years. Her love of art and beautiful things will be long remembered through her artwork, welcoming home, and garden. Marianne was a member of St. Andrews Church in Allenhurst, Deal Golf & Country Club, and was active with many charities.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard; son, Brian; her parents; brother, Charles and his wife Patricia; and beloved nieces and nephew.

The friends and family of Marianne are invited to celebrate her life at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 14 at the Trinity Church in Asbury Park. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the St. Andrews Church Restoration Fund, c/o P.O. Box 335, Allenhurst, NJ.
