Reese Kimberly Behnken Obituary
Reese Kimberly Behnken

AGE: 9 • Howell

Reese Kimberly Behnken, age 9, passed away peacefully with her family on Monday, Sept. 30, 2013 at her home in Howell, NJ. After her lifelong battle with Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD), she passed gently into the arms of Jesus. Reese is the daughter of Kimberly Brown of Howell and Richard Behnken Jr. of Jackson. The sister of Riley and Ryan Behnken of Howell. Granddaughter of Joseph and Patricia Brown of Howell; Janet LePre of Toms River and Richard Behnken Sr. of Howell. Niece of Christopher Brown of Howell. Niece and Goddaughter of Jennifer and Christopher Clifton of Barnegat. Niece of Kyle Behnken.

During her time here as one of God's Angels, Reese's favorite things were trips to the beach, spending time with her brother and sister, snuggle time, and music. She deeply touched and left a lasting impact on everyone she met. She taught us all compassion, strength, understanding, and truly being grateful for every day we have here on earth.

Everyone she touched is welcome to attend her viewing Thursday, 1-4 & 6-9 PM at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 10 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Farmingdale, NJ, burial will follow in St. Anne's Cemetery, Wall in celebration of her life and the everlasting gifts she gave us all. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations are made to The Stennis Foundation (PO Box 30065 Amarillo, TX 79120) so we can continue to try to find a cure so that her MLD brothers and sisters no longer need to take this journey.
