George Lacina Obituary
Monroe Township formerly of North Brunswick - George L. Lacina passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021, at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 70 years old.
Born in Elizabeth to the late William and Florence (Sokolsky) Lacina, he lived in North Brunswick for 40 years before moving to Monroe Township over three years ago. He was an HVAC technician for Revlon, Inc. in Edison for the past 47 years.
Mr. Lacina was a communicant of St. Mary of Mount Virgin R.C. Church in New Brunswick.
Surviving are his wife of 45 years Jo Ann (Grobelny) Lacina; two daughters - Stacey Giandonato and her husband Christopher of Plainfield, Illinois and Robyn Ferragina and her husband Joseph of West Long Branch; six siblings - Carol Mordaga of Bloomfield, William Lacina of Spotswood, Leonard Lacina and his wife Susan of North Brunswick, Lawrence Lacina of Woodbridge, Michael Lacina of South Brunswick and Edward Lacina and his wife Bozena of Monroe Township; six grandchildren - Frank and Michael Giandonato, Nicholas and Anthony Pernice and Luca and Angelina Ferragina; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday at Selover Funeral Home, 555 Georges Road, North Brunswick followed by an 11:30 AM Mass at St. Mary of Mt. Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Burial will follow in Van Liew Cemetery in North Brunswick.

George was such a nice and kind soul. Truly enjoyed getting to know him while I worked with him as Revlon's vendor. My heart breaks for the family and for his friends . My he rest in peace.

I had the pleasure of working with George at Revlon for over 30 years.
As an outside contractor we would work together on various air conditioning issues throughout the building.
He was such a nice guy and I will miss him.
My deepest condolences to his family.
