Margaret M. Birosak sadly passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2021 at the age of 90 years.

The former Margaret Kushner married Martin M. Birosak and became a wonderful mother to their 6 children. She will always be remembered as a sweet, kind grandmother to her many grandchildren.

Margie loved her flowers and enjoyed gardening at her home. She also enjoyed the carnations that her husband would buy for her each time he shopped at Sam's club. There were always flowers on her kitchen table. She would walk very often in her neighborhood in Plains Twp., and she also enjoyed vacationing with her family, especially the ocean.

Margaret and Marty would not hesitate to drive to Florida or across the country to visit her brother- and sister-in-law (Jack and Agnes Birosak) in New Mexico.

She graduated from Saint Nicholas High School in Wilkes-Barre. She was a devout Catholic and attended Mass regularly at Sacred Heart Church and St. André Bessette Parish. Margaret worked at Prudential Insurance for a short period of time prior to becoming a stay-at-home wife and mother. The last year of her life, she was lovingly cared for by the staff at Village At Greenbriar, Assisted Living, Dallas.

Margaret was the daughter of Michael and Susan Olsakovsky Kushner. Margaret was proceeded in death by her husband Martin in 2019, sons, Robert and Ronald; brothers and sisters, Joseph, John, Michael, Peter, (infant Joseph), Annie Peirson, Cecelia Tyahur, Helen Rozanski, Mary Kushner and Betty Reap.

Margaret is survived by her children Donna Klug; Sharon Lobitz and her husband Dr. Stanley Lobitz; Martin Birosak and Thomas Birosak. She was loved by her grandchildren Ryan and Corrine, Karlie, Sarah, Amanda, Shannon and step-grandchild Justin.

Funeral and committal services will be celebrated by the Rev. Kenneth M. Seegar, pastor, at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 7, 2021 in the Parish of St. André Bessette, 668 North Main St., Wilkes-Barre.
