CENTREVILLE - Judith Sorflaten Walsh of Centreville, MD, died Friday, December 28, 2018, at her residence. She was 81.
Born on July 3, 1937 in Queenstown, MD, Judith was the daughter of the late Orville Sorflaten and Esther Baker. Many remember Judith as a Registered Nurse that worked for many years at Easton Hospital. She also volunteered for Goodwill Fire Department as an EMT. Judith was very fond of her close friends, family and her animals.
Judith is survived by her sons: Bobby Walsh (Janet), of Monument, CO; Wade Martin Walsh, of Centreville, MD; daughters: Judith C. Walsh, of Preston, MD; Nancy Lane (Donald), of Wye Mills, MD; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and sisters: Joan Sorflaten, of Centreville, MD; Vada Marks, of FL; and Donna Lou Ward, of NY. In addition to her parents, Judith is predeceased by her sister, Esther Lee Moffett.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019, 11 a.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Centreville, MD, where friends and family may visit beginning at 9 a.m. Burial will be in Chesterfield Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Judith's name to Goodwill Fire Company, 212 Broadway, Centreville, MD 21617, or to the Humane Society, 407 W Belle St, Ridgely, MD 21660.
