To this very day, I thank you for your honesty. I think of the Saturday lunch stories you and Adeline would tell when you came to the house. You are loved and missed to this very day.

Our family is saddened by the passing of our friend Jean. Jean and our mother Shirley became friends at Concordia Village in Springfield. Jean was such a good friend to mom and both had so much in common...quite a comfort at that stage of life. I will miss seeing Jean sitting at the dinning room table visiting with mother while eating her favorite tomato salad. Jean was always good to look after mom and give a helping hand when needed. Thoughts and prayers to your family as I know she will be missed...We will miss her greatly and know mom holds her dearly as one of her closest friends at Concordia. Sending love to your family.

I was privileged to work with Jeanne as the school nurse at Dempster; my office was just down the hall from her so we saw one another every day I was there. She was a wonderful, fun loving friend to all who worked there and the students who attended school there. When Dempster closed its doors, Jeanne decided she would retire after all the years spent in District 59. The Daily Herald printed a wonderful article about her years of service in the district and there was a beautiful picture of her smiling face to go with it. We
e-mailed after I retired and left the area and when Jeanne had health issues, her daughter-in-law, Fran was kind to keep all of us updated until Jeanne was back on the computer again. Jeanne will be missed by many parents, students and faculty members. To Jeanne's family, I send my deepest sympathy at your loss of such a wonderful woman. There are many of us who will keep her in our hearts forever. May she rest in peace.
