It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Myrtle Elaine Sage, age 89, on March 14, 2021. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Arnold L. Sage of Douro. Survived by daughters Wendelyn (Paul) Crouter, Cynthia (Mike) Simmonds and sons Barry (Sandra) Sage, Darryl (Lori) Sage. Proud grandmother of eight and great-grandmother of 12. Daughter of the late Closson and Beatrice Barry of Haliburton, sister to the late Effie (Les) Hie, Doldie (Garnet) Fagan, Stella (Willis) Walker, Barbara (William) Harris, Laverne (Marian) Barry, and survived by her sister Mabel (Bob) Merideth. Visitation will be held at THE HENDREN FUNERAL HOMES, LAKEFIELD CHAPEL, 66 Queen Street, Lakefield on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, only a specific number of visitors are allowed in the funeral home at one time.
