BARTON, Isabel Eva (nee Duncan) Passed away peacefully at home after a brief illness, August 18, 2019. Dear wife of Bruce Barton, mother of Daniel Barton (Suzanne), Sharon Barton, Craig Barton, David Barton (Tammy). Loving grandma Bell to Rob, (Shannon) Harley, Katrina, (Travis), Derrin, Melissa (Mike), Aaron (Megan) Andrew (Robyn), Jason, Dylan (Olivia), Mathew, Ryan and eight great-grand children. Aunt and great-aunt ""Pop"" to many nieces and nephews. Isabel was very close to her tight knit family. Pre-deceased by brothers, Arnold Duncan, George ""Buddy"" Duncan, and Sister Emma Kerr. She will be missed by sisters, Martha, Flora, (Lou), Claire, Elsie, Anna-Lea, Rollie), Sally, Gail, Nancy (Earl), and Brother William Duncan. A huge thank you to Russ, and Sue Parson and family for their love, care and laughs over the years as Isabel loved you as family neighbours and friends. After her marriage to Bruce June 11, 1955 Isabel worked tirelessly and lovingly raising four children in Toronto, Brampton, Grand Bend, and finally Cambray Ontario where Bruce and Isabel managed the Lindsay Municipal Airport. Her caring nature led her into being a caregiver with Para Med, in Lindsay Ontario for many elderly patients and a librarian at Cambray Public Library where she touched many lives in a positive way young and old. Isabel's baking prowess was known far and wide especially the yummy butter tarts. In her later years she loved her flower gardens, enjoyed spending time with her friends and spent many holidays returning to Flatlands. Cremation has taken place with an interment at Mount Nebo Cemetery, September 7, 2019 and Flatlands New Brunswick. Date will be announced. A special thank you to the Doctors, Nurses and support staff at Ross Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department, and Medical Wing for giving wonderful care in our time of need. Funeral arrangements entrusted to The Stoddart Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 24 Mill Street, Lindsay.
