Fran M. Bellamy
July 17, 1938 – January 10, 2019

Pawleys Island, SC
Fran Martin Bellamy peacefully went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 10, 2019 surrounded by her family. Fran was born on July 17, 1938 in Mullins, SC, daughter of the late Theodore Thomas Martin and Sadie Leach Hegg.
Fran is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Kenneth Lamar Bellamy; daughter Karen Bellamy Lamont (Jim) of Durham, NC; son Gregson Ashley Bellamy (Karry) of Mount Pleasant, SC; five grandchildren whom she cherished Kylan Lamont Smith (Justin), James Brennan and Kenneth Vladimir Lamont; Catherine Jean Bellamy and Paige Bellamy Dowdy (Les); and five great-grandchildren.
Raised in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Fran attended Erskine College before marrying Ken in 1957.
Fran was an active member of All Saints Church, Pawleys Island, since 1992. She was most active in the Women of the Word Bible Study and the Clothes Closet. She was recognized as a committed prayer warrior for the members and staff of All Saints. Throughout her life, she had a heart for the underdog and was part of the Magdalenes who shared their faith with dancers at clubs in Myrtle Beach.
The family is grateful to UNC Healthcare and Hospice. And special thanks to her caregiver and dear friend, Betty Mangum, for her care and devotion to Fran and her family.
Services will be held at All Saints Church, 3560 Kings River Road, Pawleys Island, SC 29585, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, followed by burial at the All Saints Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Robert L. Grafe. A reception will follow immediately at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to All Saints Church.
