Joan DRUMMOND

I'd just thought of Joan, and looked her up on line only to find her obituary. Joan was a good friend of my late mother Annette McLaughlin, and I last saw her at my mother's funeral some years back.

IODE Laurentian Chapter will now have a great void in the lives and work of our members. Joan was always there with support, advice and hospitality when required.

I treasure my long association with Joan on the board of the Andrew Fleck Child Care Centre and with the IODE. Wherever Joan was she lit up and led the company - quietly, steadily and humorously. She was a very special person.

So many good memories of wonderful lunches in Kingsmere. The best soup maker!

So very sad to hear the passing of Mrs. Dummond. Deepest condolences to family and friends. My sister Nancy and I were Meech Lake friends of Robin and Tim. She was a wonderful Den Mother of many dance parties held at the Drummond cottage for the Meech Lake gang.

Anne and I have many happy memories of visiting John and Joan at Kingsmere way back in the 70s and the fun we all had. Our sympathies to Tim and the family.
