I am so very sorry for the loss. I miss Ottawa a lot, and esp the friendship between your mum and I.(my buddy My love to all.

Bob was a colleague and good friend since spring 1966 when I joined DOT Training and Development Group and worked with him on management and supervisory courses. We kept in touch over the years. Bob was a regular attendee at our occasional coffee sessions of people who had served on the Joint Arctic Weather Stations. We will miss his great memory of meteorological and Arctic events. Until a few years ago he was a regular at our local Canadian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society meetings.

Bob McDonald has been a fantastic neighbour to us for 38 years. He always had a friendly greeting and lent a helping hand. He was a terrific bridge player and my patient teacher during our weekly game. We'll miss our chats, his friendship, sense of humour and his "no nonsense" take on the latest news. Our sincere condolences to the family.

I was my good fortune to become friends with Bob via the RA Centre Senior Bowling program. Bob was the President for many years besides being one the the very best bowlers in the large league. He was also awarded the Presidents Trophy from the RA for his longtime volunteer service. I was supervisor of the Club and Bob would always stop in my office for a chat and a laugh. Bob was a true gentleman who was admired and respected by all. My deepest condonlences to the family.
