Not sure what to say?

Dear Linda, Gilles and Serge, and the rest of Ray's family,
I have very fond memories of Ray when he and my former husband were CUPE reps together in Ottawa from 1972-1974. He was always full of jokes and laughter and we had many great times together. I have been visiting Clara MacMillan today and she told me of Ray's death. Needless to say ,I was very shocked.I am sorry for your loss and sorry that I didn't know sooner. I also remember you Linda from the National Office.I send you my...

My condolences to Ray's family during this very sad time. Soar with the eagles Ray and Rest In Peace.

Dear Linda and family,
We were shocked and saddened to hear of Ray's untimely death. The contributions that Ray made in his lifetime for the labour movement and workers in general are far too long to list. His dedication inspired workers to continue his legacy. In addition to our friendship, I had the great pleasure of interviewing Ray for a recent historical video of CSU retirees that I will always treasure. Warmest thoughts as you and your family grieve his passing and wonderful memories...

My condolences to Linda and the rest of Ray's family and to all his many friends and comrades. Ray was a committed guy who was always where he was needed. If Ray had heard me say that he would have added 'even when he wasn't wanted'. And laughed.

It was a pleasure and an honour to have worked with him.

My condolences to the family that Ray loved. H3 was a giant in the labour movement and always left a positive result from his work. From my perspective Ray was the guy that broke the logjams and moved everyone to get things done. He was an extremely positive person and had a profound affect on my life. He will be missed and I will always remember our friendship. Feeling very sad........

It doesn't seem possible. We just saw him last September at the U of M "Retrouvaille". He looked so good and full of life. He will be missed by so many.

My condolences to Ray's family and friends.
I knew Ray on a professional basis and sat across the table from him during CUPE contract negotiations.
Ray was tough but fair and always knew when to insert his sense of humour into discussions.
