Not sure what to say?

Dear Penny,
A few things come to mind about your Dad, his wit and his sense of class. Going into White's was always a great experience and when you left with a colorful crew neck sweater...happiness.
Our deepest sympathy to you and your brother.
Thinking of you,

Dear Penny And David,

My sincere condolences on your father's passing. Every time I saw him he always had a smile and was always complementary. I can remember going to Whites and thinking what a great store your father had. The store was always top self merchandise and very customer service minded. You both were very fortunate to have him as a father.

Dear David and Penny....My thoughts are with you both upon hearing of dad's passing.
From my high school years in the 60's, with The Store on Chapel Street, later move to Orange Street, I was a huge admirer of your dad's merchandizing talants. I had the brief good fortune to work for Alan in the early 70's. With his high quality apparel, store decor, window trimming, and clientele that made WHITE'S the preeminent clothier and a seminal part of the "New Haven Look".

Dear Penny and David

Very sad news. Alan was a fun guy and wonderful to be around.

David and Penny,
Our condolences on the loss of your father. He was a staple at our home for Christmas and other get togethers for many years, and we will miss his quick wit and amazing stories. These last few years, as he grew tired, he spoke often of his desire to be with Joan, and his pride in the people you both came to be.
We will miss him, especially next Christmas Eve, when his chair and glass are empty. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.
