Harvey Family Funeral Home Obituary

Born February 12, 1983 in Seattle to Janet and Roger Wilson; died unexpectedly on February 14, 2019.

Survived by her father, Roger; cousins, Anne Chalcraft (Chris) and David Kearns (Andrea); and a large extended family.

Preceded in death by her mother, Janet.

Andrea grew up in Seattle and graduated from Nathan Hale High School.  She met a number of her close friends there, and in the All City Marching Band.  Andrea went on to graduate from the University of Washington where she performed in the Husky Marching Band.  Andrea then attended Seattle University where she received her Masters in Teaching and later earned the honor of becoming a National Board Certified Teacher.

Andrea was an excellent and dedicated teacher.  Early on, she worked for the Renton School District, and was most recently teaching at Loyal Heights Elementary in Seattle.  Andrea was passionate about her role as a teacher.  She worked incredibly hard, and was a marvelous educator.  Andrea’s colleagues and students at Loyal Heights will miss her very much.

Andrea will be remembered for her love of family and friends, and her kindness and generosity.  Andrea would go out of her way to help people in her life, no matter how big or small. She was the quintessential hostess, always volunteering to host birthdays, holiday dinners, and baby showers.

Not sure what to say?

Whenever I visit LH, I think of Andrea. Even though I was a sub for her many times, we had our moments. She was passionate and loved her classroom kids. She'd stand up for anything she believed in.

Andrea was one of my best friends. After the first time we hung out, she baked me a loaf of her famous pumpkin bread. I was later told "That means she really likes you!" From then on, she was ALWAYS there for me. She was fiercely loyal...sometimes to the point where she would have to be physically held back when she felt someone had wronged one of her friends. That was Andrea. She always had your back, no matter what. She treasured her friendships and it showed. She would go out of...

I am sorry for your loss. May the God of all comfort strengthen the family during this difficult time. 2 Cor 1:2-4

Thank you for ALWAYS making everyone feel SPECIAL.

Dear family of Andrea,

I wanted to share how grateful our family is for Andreas good influence and positive impact on our daughter, Anna, and our entire family. Andrea was such an organized, diligent, creative and careful teacher. Every time I walked into her classroom last year, I remember feeling impressed by how carefully shed set up her 1st grade classroom. The space given to her our 2nd year at John Marshall was tight, but she had thoughtfully arranged each detail to maximize...

I was Andrea's sub teacher several times. Her students missed her always! She will be missed many more days to come.

I so admired and enjoyed working with Andrea. She always give 110% to everything she did. She was a great teacher, and social director for staff functions . She was always confident, organized, in charge, creative, artistic , energetic, fun, and I always enjoyed my time with her. Im so sad, shocked, and sorry her life, and sweet spirit were taken so early.
