Belan R. Flowers, Jr., 78, died Sunday, January 27, 2019. Born in Wilson, NC, he lived in Hampton Roads most of his life where he owned and operated B.R. Flowers and Company.
Survivors include his daughter, Donna Briggs and husband, Gary; his son, Belan “Ross” Flowers, III; two sisters, Rebecca Blevins and Bonnie Mabry; a brother, Bobby Flowers and wife, Betty; a granddaughter, Caitlin Huffman; and a great-granddaughter, Meleia Huffman.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 16, 2019 in the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home chapel.

BR - My hope is that you are now sailing the big sky, enjoying the sun and wind in your face. B.R. was a legend who will be sadly missed by many. I could always count on him being there in times of need or going on a fun adventure on a moments notice. So many great memories with a man that knew how to live life to the fullest.
