I‘m so sorry and sad It was a pleasure to meet him over a Long time when he comes to Hannover(Germany) we had so much fun together. My heart is broken

I‘m so sorry for his family.

Lothar was my uncle, we had very close contact by email. He had a very good memory, he could tell/write a lot about your family, the grandparents in Ehringsdorf and Oberweimar. I have saved many of his emails to myself and remember him foundly and his happiness. And something else: He loved Thuringian cuisine and dumpling!!!!

Two years ago last month, my father passed away. He was an amazing person who enjoyed a good laugh and good meal (not necessarily in that order) as much as anyone. Instead of a somber message, I think it would be nice to post some interesting "Fred Facts"
1. My Dad was left handed (he wrote with his right hand because he was forced to as youth growing up in Germany).
2. He was an excellent table tennis player

One year ago today Feb 27, 2019 we lost our beloved Husband, Dad & Papa.

We miss him so much especially as his death was so sudden & unexpected by any of us including Fred I am sure.

We wish to thank all of you who honored Fred & came to his funeral. I know many of you were fond of my husband & a friend of his at work. He was respected by all who knew him or worked with him. Even I did not know until after his death about his days of flying missions...
