Not sure what to say?

I have worked with Jerry and have talked with him every month since 2008, shortly after I moved to Asheville. He would always ask about my kids and my wife Robin and was genuinely interested in how we were doing as a family. Robin and I would like to express our deep gratitude for his friendship and our condolences to the Dave-Shagan family.
I've learned more about the history of Asheville from Jerry than from any other source - he loved his life and took great pride in his large family.

In loving memory of a wonderful man. We will love you and miss you always.
Robert and Allisen Shagan

Our condolences to Barbara and the Dave family on the loss of Jerry. He was a dynamic and generous supporter of the Asheville Jewish community. He will missed by many. May his memory be for a blessing.

Prayers to the family.

I am saddened to hearing of Jerry's death as we grew up together in Asheville and have been friends for 75+years. We shared time when we both lived in Cincinnati in the 1950's and have visited through the years . My sincerest condolences to Barbara and and the children. " Jerry my friend, I wish you calm seas & fair winds, RIP." Stan

Jerry's unselfish contributions will continue to produce favorable results for years to come! My thoughts and...
