Not sure what to say?

Had Mr White in shop class at West Rocks all those years ago. Had to be my favorite teacher. And always remembered. And used his teachings. During my years of employment.

To the family of Abbott White my deepest sympathy. I was a student in Mr. White's class at West Rocks in the early 60's. He was the metal Industrial Arts teacher and Mr. Parker was the wood teacher. He was a brilliant and very inspiring individual to have known. To this day I still have and use the projects that I made in their classes. A Cutting Board from wood shop and a Spatula that I made in Mr. White's class. I would run into him at his home, I believe it was on Skyview Dr. in...

About 20 years ago Mr. And Mrs. White approached my father and I at the Danburry mall while we’re having coffee. I hadn’t been in his class for at least 30 years. He and his wife talked with us as if we are old friends.
So happy to hear that he enjoyed a full and lengthy life.

Through his countless years of volunteering in the Connecticut Industrial Arts Association, Abbott was an inspiration to fellow shop instructors. His name was always listed as a leader in the CIAA newsletters and he was most helpful to teachers at the annual conventions where student projects were displayed. Thank you, Sir, for your spirit, enthusiasm, and for being a role model to so many.

There are so many of his former students in Norwalk who remember him fondly, I am certainly one of them. Glad to hear he had such a long and fruitful life. Condolences to his family ❤
