ABRAHAM ZUCKERMAN Obituary

ZUCKERMAN--Abraham. The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum mourns the passing of Abraham Zuckerman. A Holocaust survivor from Krakow, Mr. Zuckerman spent his youth working at a factory run by Oskar Schindler and later devoted much of his life to memorializing Schindler's efforts to save Jews. As a Museum Founder, Mr. Zuckerman was among the Museum's earliest supporters, helping to build this institution and playing an active role in its growth. Our sincere condolences go to his wife, Millie, his children Ann and Bernie Sklar, Ruth and Steven Katz and Wayne and Deborah Zuckerman, and his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tom A. Bernstein, Chairman Joshua B. Bolten, Vice Chairman Sara J. Bloomfield, Director The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum

We were so sorry to learn of the passing of your beloved father, Abraham Zuckerman. We traveled with you on Backroads "From Prague to Vienna". Neil made a special trip to Mauthausen with you where you told him the story of your father's life and then sent us his book that he was so kind to sign to us. Wayne- I am sorry to hear of your father's passing. His sunny
disposition and optimism in building his new house was so
admirable. Although too brief, it is my hope that it brought him joy and pleasure. My condolences to you and the entire family.

Mr. Zuckerman always had a big smile for me and asked about my brother. His faced smiled like no other He life had special meaning to all those he knew. Loved by many, he was a good friend to my parents and often welcomed them into his home. He and Millie raised three great children and cared for Mrs. Lorber for many years. He leaves a legacy of good deeds his family can be proud of. May your memories of this wonderful bring you peace as you morn his loss.

I just wanted to say first that I am so sorry for your loss. Paul was a very special man who went thru so much in his life. He loved his family so much and was so proud of all of you. I know how much he loved and respected Schindler, but he was a Schindler in his own right. He respected people of all walks of life and never treated them as not a equal. I am proud to say I knew him for many years and I will never forget him. God bless your family and know some day you will all be together again

Love,
