Von Harris Andreasen, a man of unparalleled character, humility, and devotion, passed away peacefully on January 22, 2026, at the age of 80.
Born on January 5, 1946, in Preston, Idaho, to Max and Mardene Andreasen, Von grew up with a foundation of hard work and integrity. After graduating from Grace High School, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Utah State University. In 1967, he married the love of his life, Nickie, beginning a 58-year journey of partnership and family.
Von dedicated his professional life to the JI Case Company, where his work ethic led to a storied career. His achievements included the 1973 Top Sales Team award, the 1987 Case IH Outstanding Performance honor, and serving as the 1990 Area Manager for Top Retail Sales in North America. His career highlight was serving as General Manager of Northern California Case Stores, and he was instrumental in the acquisition of International Harvester Agricultural Division. Despite his professional success, Von remained a man of immense generosity and quiet humbleness.
A faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Von lived his values through service. He was notably recognized as the “Big Brothers Big Sisters Brother of the Year,” reflecting his lifelong commitment to mentoring others. An avid sports fan, his greatest joy was found on the sidelines of his grandchildren’s activities, where he was always their most loyal supporter.
Von is survived by his beloved wife, Nickie Sperry Andreasen; his children, Stephanie Rice, Gina (Jeffrey) Stevens, and Jeremy (Mindy) Andreasen; his sisters, Vicki (Bill) Draughn, Patti (Chad) Bowles, Gay (Dale) Royce, and Eve (Scott) Jackson; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Mardene; and his siblings, Kay, Sandra, Maxene, Kim, and Van.
