Fehrman Mortuary and Crematory-Quincy, CA FD306/CR57/INS0742146 - Quincy Obituary

Adella Frances Lombardi passed quietly at home with family near on 7/9/13. Born to Antone and Edna Dotta 8/7/20 she was a true Sierra Valley native, having lived in the Valley for over 92 years. Raised on the McNair ranch at the south east corner of Hariot and Dyson, she married Alvin Lombardi on 2/20/1939. They lived for a short time on the Ceasar Lombardi ranch before moving into Loyalton where they lived for the rest of their lives. She remained home with their two sons when Alvin joined the navy and until her boys were raised. She then worked for Dr.'s Haggard and Winchell for many years before joining Alvin in retirement. Adella had many passions. In addition to her family, she was an avid (and excellent) card player, cook, gardener, collector, a devout and active member of the Catholic church and amassed a huge family genealogy before the internet was available. She was proud of the Swiss heritage she shared with Alvin and travelled twice to Switzerland while in her 80's. The last of her generation, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, 6 sisters and her beloved husband. She leaves sons Randy (Kathi) of Quincy, Mark (Domenica) of Reno, grandchildren Kim, Mickey, Theresa, Roman and Wade, great grandchildren Jared, Bryce, Ava, Marcella and Walker, and numerous nieces and nephews. A special thanks to Tahoe Forest Hospice and Fehrman Mortuary for their remarkable kindess and compassion. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holy Rosary Altar Society or the Milton Gottardi museum in Loyalton. An opportunity to express your condolences to the family along with signing the memorial guest register is available online at www.fehrmanmortuary
