Dear Ian and family: Your mom was very special for us.We shared many Thanksgiving dinners, and New Year's days at her home.Gouda cheese with ginger and a glass of Port wine were her favourites in the afternoons.Always smiling.!I met Ans at the Chicago Arts Club with Doe and Margot two years ago on my way to South America, and had a wonderful time, plenty of laughs. She wrote an e mail to us a few months ago talking about your children, and you.We love Ans and Heins and we miss them! Hope we can meet you Ian and your kids in the future and share our good memories when we lived at 2500 N Lakeview .Your mom made a big difference in our lives during our stay in Chicago! Will never forget her! God Bless!

We know that Ans is going to have a good time up there just like she did down here. She was a remarkable woman full of life never complaining always ready to go.We could hardly keep up with her,she never walked always ran!I will miss her "olie bollen and "sausijse broodjes" wich she had plenty of on New Years day.We will never forget her she will always be on my mind.

Dear Ans,
It was a pleasure to know you. What fun and laughter you brought into everyone's life. I'll never forget when I organized a Dutch sinter Klaas event how you immediately wanted to be a Zwarte Piet. Together we had such fun, with you jumping up and down throwing "pepernoten" at all the ladies. Always a young spirit. Never expected you to go.
Dear family of Ans. What a wonderful lady, mum, granny your Ans was. Our sincere sympathy with your loss.
