Not sure what to say?

Mrs. Stembridge was an outstanding role model: a principled woman and a sweet lady. I'll remember her with great affection…

Our paths did not cross as much as one would hope for thru the years but my memories of Aunt Aileen and Uncle Vernie are ones I am fond of. Aunt Aileen was a beautiful and gracious lady. I especially remember her enthusiasm for researching family history. Though we are unable to attend the memorial service, please know our hearts and love are with you.

Aileen was a friend through our association with the Faculty Women's Club and the Medical Center Woman's Club at Southwestern Medical School. Her passion to record the history of those organizations will long be appreciated. I always enjoyed her enthusiasm and attention to detail. We still quote some of her principles at our meetings.

Mrs. Stembridge (which is how I always knew her) was best known to me as my Girl Scout troop leader. A truly gracious lady. I also knew of her as someone who helped care for my youngest brother when our mother was going back to college. and later as someone who shared and celebrated together with our mother their shared birthdays on July 4. Ann, Vivian and Shirley, I celebrate the difference your mother made in many people's lives.

Donna and I will fondly remember Aileen Stembridge as a warm and wise friend and beloved life partner of our estemed mentor, Vernie Stembridge. Max Buja

Shirley, Ann, and Vivian, I know how it is to lose a mother, and I know you were very attentive to your mother all these long years that your daddy has been gone. I admired your mom and dad both so very much, and I am so sad your mom is gone from us, but she is in a wonderful place now. I know the memorial service will be comforting to all of you and your children. Wish I could be there! I have some special memories I will send to you in a letter!
Your cousin,
Mary Margaret Marston...

I am inspired by the story of this incredible woman's life. I am lucky to continue to be inspired by her wonderful daughter, Ann, who is a tribute to the lessons of her mother's charity and grace.

May your family find comfort in knowing that someday there will be no more sickness, pain, sorrow or death. Mrs. Stembridge has the opportunity to reside there.

On behalf of the Faculty Women's Club of UT Southwestern Medical Center, I would like to offer our sincere condolencesfor your loss. Aileen is fondly remembered by current members who were her contemporaries.
Very truly yours,
Laurie Clark Olson, corresponding secretary
