I just learned of alan's passing and my prayers go out to his family.I worked with alan at the police benevolent assoc.All though I never met any of you he always talked very dear of his family.After alan left work his presents was truly missed he always kept smiles on everyones face.Zee
and I will miss him and regret we never got a chance to say goodbye.

I am two years older than my brother,Alan. As I looked back over the years to find something to say here in his behalf, the memory of a special photograph came to mind. It was a newspaper photograph of Alan at nine or ten in grade school band. He was standing next to a large upright base drum, the mallet in his left hand against the drum surface, smiling joyously as he looked into the nearby camera through wire rimmed, roughly tested boy's glasses. Alan Dean was a wonderful father and grandfather, and to all the neighborhood kids. He will be well missed by many,especially me. I love you daddy"

I was very saddened to hear of Alan's passing. I regret the fact that we did not really get a chance to know each other. My prayers go out to his wife and children.

Alan was the brother of my father Gary Dean. My Dad remembers many wonderful childhood years shared with Alan. I spoke with my Uncle Alan occasionally on the telephone from Los Angeles and his warm, upbeat attitude made him a fun and interesting person to talk to. I wish I had been able to meet him in person at least once, but distance made it difficult. I know he will be missed dearly by his wife and entire family, but they'll always have their many good memories of a loving husband and...

Alan was a distant relative. The last time I saw him was during the 1950s.
