Not sure what to say?

So sorry hear about your loss . He was a great guy and I enjoyed serving with him. I learned a lot from him

Alan was a great friend and (Quaker) Friend. We will miss his quiet bits of wisdom and frequent giggles. His outstanding love extended to all who would accept it. His work as Co-Clerk of the Meeting was greatly appreciated by most other Quakers, and especially by this Co-Clerk. We will miss him dearly.

Dad always had a quick wit. His granddaughter called him Silly Grandpa for a good reason. He will be missed and remembered often.

Hello to everyone. I got to know Alan when I attended Asheville Friends Meeting. Unfortunately my life took me away from NC and I did not stay in touch with Alan nor Dave. For that I have regrets. Alan taught me love, acceptance and to have peace within and when I start sliding away from these I remember Alan and his beautiful spirit. My heart is very sad. Hugs to Dave and Alan's family. Dave, You are a glorious spouse, caring, strong- Alan was so blessed. Sarah

Alan brought so much to our marriage - wisdom, patience, kindness, and a bizarre humor that could fill our home with laughter - but above all he brought love.

Alan/Dad will be missed
