Not sure what to say?

To the Fechtel family: Just heard today of Dr. Al's passing. So sorry Mike and I missed the visitation and funeral. Please know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers.

Uncle Al was amazing. I remember how intense he was about fishing, but really kind and patient as he was teaching me and some of my cousins how to catch St. Johns River fish. I always loved visiting Jax and seeing his big smile. While alot of Fechtels in Leesburg didn't get to see uncle Al often, we sure did admire him!

Al, devoted his life to serving his God, family, country, neighbors, and patients with dedication! Planet earth is a lesser place with the loss of B.A., and now Al. We will always treasure their friendship and memories.

Even though we celebrate Al's life, we extend our deepest, heartfelt sympathy to the Fechtel family!

Dear Fechtel Family,

My parents, Frank & Mary Long, told me today about your dear father's passing. Your Dad was an amazing man. He is especially dear to my father. My Dad often spoke about how it was your father who helped him establish my Dad's OB/GYN practice 50+ years ago in your Dad's old building on Hendrick's Avenue. He says that Dr. Fechtel took him under his wing. My Dad loved going hunting and occasionally fishing with Dr. Fechtel over the years. More recently, they...

Doug, your fathers skills were passed into your hands and from those hands came physical healing for myself and my spouse. There are no words for what Dr. Al was able to give and no words of mine will be able to give enough. May gods light shine upon all of you.

Dear Fechtel Family,
Dr. Al will always be remembered to me as the Doctor that still made housecalls. He always checked on me and my brothers on his way home from a hard days work, and that is after your Mother checked on us. Empire Point looked to your parents for guidance in many ways. They truly exemplified the Christian spirit of giving that we should all aspire to have. Both of your parents will always have a special place in my heart.
Special love,
Katherine (Kacey)...

Dear Mark and Family~~ I am so sorry for your loss~~Al was a great man, I always enjoyed him coming to the Nursery, helping him pick out flowers. He always tried to pay me for them and I would say "You can pay next time" he would just laugh....I can still hear him.....he will be missed. God Bless~~~Connie

God Bless Dr. Al, B.A., and the entire Fechtel Family.

You all are very specially in our hearts.
Love to each of you...
