Albert Delano (Dal) Fore, Sr. entered into his eternal home on July 9, 2025, just days before his 92nd birthday.
Born on July 18, 1933, on the family farm in Fork, South Carolina, Dal was the beloved son of the late James Hagood Fore and Esma Rogers Fore. He was raised in Fork and graduated from Zion School in Marion County, SC in 1952.
After proudly serving in the U.S. Navy as a Yeoman, Mr. Fore attended the Clemson Agricultural College of South Carolina, where he earned his Agriculture-Agronomy degree in 1961. He went on to work as an agronomist at the Pee Dee Experiment Station in Florence, SC, where he applied his passion for agriculture.
On June 20, 1956, Dal married the love of his life, Barbara Parrott. Together, they shared many cherished years until her passing on March 10, 2014.
Dal enjoyed the simple pleasures of life—farming, fishing, camping in the mountains, and working in his garden—but his greatest joy was spending time with his family. He was known for his deep faith and commitment to serving the Lord. In his earlier years, he attended Meadowbrook Church in Florence, SC. Later, he faithfully served at Union Baptist Church in Temperance Hill, SC as a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and Sunday School Superintendent. In his later years, he became a member of Pyerian Baptist Church. Two of his favorite Bible passages were Psalm 23 and John 10.
In addition to his parents and beloved wife, Dal was predeceased by his brother, Richard Bernard Fore, and his sister, Joann Fore Zmyewski, and his daughter-in-law, Roxann Fore.
He is survived by his four children: Catherine (Randy) Fore Creel, Cynthia (James) Fore Orr, Tammy (Chris) Fore Holley, and Albert Delano Fore Jr.; seven grandchildren: Jimmy Orr, Karen Creel, Joshua (Amy) Orr, Heather (Benjamin) Hall, Jacob (Sarah) Orr, Paul Fore, and Elizabeth (Dillon) Holley; and nine great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, James (Meredith) Joel Fore; his sister, Marie Fore Daniel; many special nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Billy Brunson.
Dal Fore lived a life of faith, service, and devotion to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
