Queen of Heaven Cemetery and Mortuary - Rowland Heights Obituary

Albertina’s journey began on 4/23/1932 in Mexico City she was welcomed by the late Dr. Oscar Hurtado and Refugio Andrade de Hurtado. As a toddler she migrated north to Torreon where her family grew and welcomed her sisters Concha and Letty. Betty grew from a young child to a young adult in Torreon. Around the age of 19 she moved to Praxedis Chihuahua, soon after her arrival she attended a dance in a nearby city where she met Manuel Torres. She quickly fell in love, had a beautiful wedding and started a family. While her children, Mireya, Sylvia, Manuel, Armando, Ernesto and Ricardo were young, Betty and Manuel, pursuing a brighter future, migrated to the United States where she lived the remainder of her life.

Betty was a loving, caring, beautiful, hardworking independent woman. She loved to dance and was an avid traveler. Above all else she loved her family; she was extremely family oriented. Betty was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She touched many lives during her 91 years of life and will truly be missed by all that knew her.

Not sure what to say?

My deepest and sincere condolences to my cousins, the Torres Family for your loss. I have many beautiful & happy memories of my beautiful Tia Bety. From the time I was a little kid I remember that our families would visit each other a lot when we lived in L.A. Then we moved to La Puente and shortly after they also moved to La Puente just a few blocks away.. so we spent even more time together. Tia Bety always had something nice to say to me. She always had a smile on her face. I admired...

May you rest in peace Lita, you will truly be missed by many, we thank you for always showing us love and for always being so kind, you will never be forgotten, forever in are hearts and in are prayers.
