Mandel Family: I have been out of town and missed the the announcement of Alex's death. I shall miss him greatly. Much of our professional lives as structural engineers were interwoven and I learned much from him. After retirement we worked together developing software that we wished we had had available in our working days. I often think of those times. I still have the sketches he prepared for the electrical wiring of our cottage. Mary joins me in sending our condolences and deep sympathy....
