Mr. Alexander Lewis, also affectionately known as “AC” was born September 1, 1916 in Old Rocky Hill, KY within Barren County.  He was the son of the late John Lewis and Viola Parker Lewis.  He found a place of peace when God called him home on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Medco Center of Bowling Green at the age of a blessed 95 years.  Alexander was a loving foster parent to the late Carol Patterson.  He was preceded in death also by three sisters and three brothers: Mellissa McKay, Beatrice Swan, Churcha Lewis, Roger Lewis, Henry Lewis, and Rev. Mitchel Lewis.

Alexander was united in marriage to late Annie Porter Lewis.  He professed a hope in Christ at an early age and united with Rocky Hill Baptist Church.  He had a strong faith in God and was known to be quoted by saying: “God aint nothing to play with…IF you want something to play with go to the 10cent store and get you a toy.”  Mr. “AC” was retired from Bill’s Service Center where he worked for over 40 years.

Alexander leaves to mourn and cherish precious memories one sister, Nintha Skiles of Bowling Green, Ky; six brothers, Fred Lewis of Bowling Green, KY; Robert Lewis (Mary) of Bowling Green, KY, Rev. OV Lewis (Luella of Indianapolis, IN, Rev. Bradley Lewis of Glasgow, KY, Rev. Charles Lewis (Fannie) of Bowling Green, KY and Frank Lewis (Diana) of Bowling Green, KY; one foster son-in-law, Lawrence Patterson of Bowling Green, KY and three great-grandchildren.  “AC” also leaves a very good friend, Paul Shobe of Bowling Green, Ky., a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
